History

During the 19th Century, there was a demand for English Medium school in Vasai. Keeping in mind the requirements of the people of Vasai and with the encouragement of the then Rev. Bishop Dr. Thomas Dabre and motivation from the then Parish priest of Papdy Church Rev. Fr. Tony Correia, Sisters of the Grace Convent i.e. Sisters of the Congregation of the Carmelite Religious (C.C.R), thought of initiating the project. Then with the permission of Rev. Mother Mary Francis, the Sisters of CCR started an English medium Pre-primary Co - education school on 21st June 1998. The school was named as “Little Angels Pre - primary School”.

The Mantralaya of Mumbai gave the permission to start the Primary section in the year 2000. The School was then named as St. Aloysius English High School.The Zilla Parishad of Thane and the Government of Maharashtra has given the recognition to the school.

Since then the journey of Progress, Success and Victory of CCR in St. Aloysius English High School, Chanebori began and the story is still unfolding………

The seed that was shown as “Little Angels Pre - Primary School” grew into a small plant as St. Aloysius Primary school in June 2000. And today there are more than 1350 students studying here.
